The competition will be run according to the F5J rules in the 2022 FAI Sporting Code Volume F5 Radio Control Electric Powered Model Aircraft

All AMRT devices must conform to the specifications published in the F5J Altimeter/Motor Run Timer Technical Documentation. This means that AMRT devices must be set to either the FAI setting or the setting that permits and emergency motor re-start but then records a zero flight score.

ENTRY DATES: Closing Date for entries Friday 8th July. Entries are limited to a maximum of 60 so may close earlier if full.

In the event of the entries exceeding the maximum any further entries will be kept on a reserve list in sequence and allocated places if any competitor withdraws.

REFUNDS: In the event of a withdrawal refunds of entry fees and any catering bookings will only be given if notification is received before 24th June.

MEALS: A pre-booked buffet lunch will be available on competition days at £7 (€9) per head. Cold fresh water is available please make sure you have enough food and liquids in case of hot weather.

BBQ: facilities will be provided for all competitors on Saturday evening, supply your own food.

ACCOMMODATION: Camping: Free basic camping facilities (consisting of a fresh water supply and portable toilets) will be available on the field in the area outside of the fenced off Caravan Club site

Those who wish to avail themselves of the full facilities of the Caravan Club site should make a booking directly with the site owners.

CAA: CAA requires the operators of pilotless aircraft to register and to pass a competency test. All entrants are required to be able to prove that they are certified pilots of pilotless aircraft and to display their registration number on some part of their models. The organisers will supply a valid registration number where necessary.

INSURANCE: UK fliers must show proof of BMFA insurance or equivalent cover. Non-UK fliers will if necessary be covered by BMFA contest insurance.

COVID-19: The competition will be fully compliant with any Covid-19 regulations and guidance still then in place. If necessary, competitors will be advised about this nearer the time of the conpetition.

FREQUENCIES: Frequencies allowed in the UK are 35Mhz and 2.4Ghz.

SCHEDULE: Campsite open from Midday Thursday 14th July unless prior arrangements have been made with the Caravan Club site owners

No Flying on the Field before Friday.

Friday 15rd July: Practice day (Frequency control is at your own risk)
Saturday 16th July: Briefing 09:15, Flying starts 09:30 (Rounds 1-6)
Sunday 17th July: Briefing 09.15, Flying starts 09:30 (Rounds 7-9 + 3 Rounds Fly Off). Prize giving after the contest, departure.
Campsite must be vacated by Midday Monday 18th July

The flying schedule is subject to change according to weather conditions and the number of entrants.

INTERGLIDE HISTORY

The British Association of Radio Controlled Soarers (BARCS) arranged for the inaugural Interglide in 1982. It was styled “World Interglide” and was organised by the Coventry Club as part of the BARCS 10th anniversary celebrations.
